When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you send a contact form, Any information you submit – name and email address – will be held indefinitely. All information submitted is held solely by Forum Education Ltd and is not passed to any third party.


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Forum Education fully subscribes to the principles and requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 and Data Protection generally. This extends to, but is not exclusive to, all data relating to our employees, clients, other associated individuals and companies, and suppliers. We are fully registered with the Information Commissioners’ Office as a data user.


All confidential or potentially confidential information disclosed by clients of Forum Education to Forum Education (“Confidential Information”) shall be kept secret and confidential and shall not be used for any purposes other than those required or permitted in agreement with the client’s designated contract manager and shall not be disclosed to any third party except insofar as this may be required for the proper operation of the Contract.

Either party shall promptly notify the other if any Confidential Information is required by law (including but without limitation pursuant to the FOIA and/or the Environmental Information Regulations) to be disclosed by it or any other person receiving it under or pursuant to the Contract and shall co-operate with the other party regarding the manner of such disclosure (but without prejudice to any obligation to comply with any law). Any request received by either party under the FOIA or the Environmental Information Regulations will be complied with promptly and in a timely manner

The obligations of confidentiality shall not apply to any information which:

    1. Is or become publicly know through no act or omission of the receiving party;
    2. was in the other party’s lawful possession prior to the disclosure;
    3. is lawfully disclosed to the receiving party by a third party without restriction on disclosure;
    4. is independently developed by the receiving party, which independent development can be shown by written evidence; and/or
    5. is required to be disclosed by law, by any court of competent jurisdiction or by any regulatory or administrative body (including but without limitation pursuant to the FOIA and/or the Environmental Information Regulations) provided that the party subject to such requirement to disclose gives the other prompt written notice of the requirement, to the extent it is permitted to do so by law.


  • Forum Education retains the right at all times not to undertake any work or specific projects not specifically identified and agreed within the terms of the contract or agreement with the contract manager. It is our policy to refuse to undertake or be involved in any specific projects that would put us in a conflict of interest situation with another client. Where such an issue arises, the fact that involvement is potentially inappropriate will be confirmed in writing with the contract manager upon their or another’s request to undertake such a project. It is Forum Education’s policy not to be involved in any aspect of procurement or contract management exercises whatsoever. Where our consultancy support extends to making recommendations of outside agencies or suppliers, any ongoing interest will be raised immediately. In terms of our support to organisations on recruitment, we will always highlight a conflict immediately should one appear during a recruitment process that we are actively involved in. All information obtained through our work for clients is treated in accordance with our policy on Client Confidentiality (see above)


All due payments are required to made within 30 days of the date of invoice. Payments that are overdue by more than 30 days will incur an additional charge of 10% upon late payment and then further interest will be charged at a rate of 20% APR pro-rata.

6.1 You agree that any contribution you may make on this Site, for example any blog or testimonial you may submit, shall be made in accordance with the following terms:

6.1.1 all contributions must be civil and in good taste;

6.1.2 no disruptive, offensive, abusive or threatening content;

6.1.3 no unlawful or objectionable content including but not limited to material which is sexist, racist, homophobic, obscene, pornographic or defamatory;

6.1.4 no multiple postings;

6.1.5 no impersonation;

6.1.6 no swearing or vulgar language; and

6.1.7 no reference to a specific website addresses without our permission.

6.2 For your own safety and security you must not reveal any personal information about yourself or anyone else (for example telephone or mobile numbers, or home addresses).

6.4 We reserve the right to delete any contribution at our sole discretion and at any time without notice.
