Leigh Academies Trust is expanding our Executive Team and is now recruiting for the role of Academies Director. Reporting directly to the CEO within one of the UK’s largest and most successful trusts, this is a career-defining position for a current senior leader. We have two posts available which are split between geographical location, and our appointed candidates will play a pivotal role in Leigh Academies Trust’s continuing journey.
Leigh Academies Trust is now recruiting for one of the most exciting opportunities currently available in the education sector; due to the continued growth of the Trust, we are now seeking to appoint a third Academies Director who will join us for September 2020. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding principal or executive principal with a primary or secondary background and with a proven track-record of delivering strong educational outcomes. In recent years we have begun introducing International Baccalaureate curriculum programmes in all of our academies (PYP; MYP; IBCP). We will expect all candidates to demonstrate full support for this approach.
Leigh Academies Trust is a highly successful multi-academy trust. The overarching purpose of the role of Academies Director is to provide educational leadership to Leigh Academies Trust’s academies across phases within our clusters, ensuring that Trust strategy is delivered. You will foster a culture of collaboration and innovation that allows our students to receive the best possible education. You will help to inspire our senior leaders across a range of academies to deliver excellence in everything we do. More specifically, you will oversee a group of LAT academies across Medway on behalf of the Trust to help inspire our senior leaders to deliver excellence in everything we do. We are especially keen to hear from candidates with particular expertise and knowledge across all phases of education who are keen to make an impact across multiple communities. We are looking for people who believe in the transformative power of education with the ability to inspire all stakeholders to achieve amazing things.
Our mission is to shape young people’s lives for the better through high-quality education and in doing so, transform the communities in which they live. You will lead, challenge and support all Principals across your assigned region working closely with the Chief Executive and other Trust Executives to help our academies reach their full potential. You will report directly to the CEO and can be sure of very considerable opportunities for further development, and will also be a member of the Trust Executive Board.
